Why we recommend asthmatic patients not to take Asphalia:

We have not had any specific reports from asthmatic Asphalia users of any adverse symptoms.

However, since Asphalia is a plant-based product, we present for your consideration the following information:

Asthma is a common chronic inflammatory disease of the airways characterized by variable and recurring symptoms, reversible airflow obstruction and bronchial spasms. Common symptoms include shortness of breath, wheezing and chest tightness. Many environmental factors have been associated with asthma’s development and exacerbation including allergens, air pollution, and other environmental chemicals.

Asphalia for Natural Sleep is made from a blend of dried grasses. Many asthmatics find that adverse reaction to grasses may worsen their condition.

In addition, several studies have been made on a key antioxidant contained in the grasses with conflicting and often inconclusive results. One of these studies reached the conclusion that nocturnal asthmatics could be affected adversely by taking this substance.

In view of the foregoing we feel it would be prudent for asthmatic patients not to take Asphalia.

If you would like more information on the studies being referred to in this article, please contact us using the email facility on the contact page.
